Hi there! I'm Kara, and I'm so glad you're here.

We’ve called Florida home for a little over a year. While I’ll always be a Texas girl at heart, I’ve dreamed of living near the beautiful beaches of the Emerald Coast ever since vacationing here as a child. My husband and I were married in Destin in 2011, so being able to photograph families along the same shoreline where our story began feels especially meaningful.

I fell in love with photography after having my children. What started with documenting my own family grew into a passion for capturing real moments for others. Beach photography is my favorite. There’s just something about happy families, barefoot kids, beautiful sunsets, and the Emerald Coast backdrop.

As a former elementary teacher, mom of four, and children’s book author, I know how quickly these seasons pass. My sessions are relaxed, fun, and focused on genuine connection rather than stiff poses.
